Sue McSheffrey Wishes the Troops a Safe and Successful Mission

Sue At Showcase

At the Petawawa Showcase this weekend Sue McSheffrey took time to wish the departing troops on Roto 6 a safe and uneventful mission. “This is not the time to get into politics; I just want to express my thanks to you and your families for your sacrifices in the name of Canada.”

Mrs. McSheffrey went on to add “My son is a as a proud member of Canada’s Armed Forces. We join with your families in praying for your safe return. I am enormously proud of the work you do and the professionalism you bring to your work in Kandahar.”

The New Democrats had a booth at the Petawawa Showcase and were delighted at the response from the public as they came to meet and chat with Sue McSheffrey.

Sue with full Army Clothing

Sue McSheffrey tries on the Tack vest and helmet that her son had to wear during basic training this past summer. “It’s unbelievably heavy,” she said “I can’t believe the strength it takes just to do routine tasks.”
